We had a dingo/heeler mix that would find the biggest “stick” he could get his teeth around and carry it around with him on our walks by the lake. He once decided he had to have a four inch diameter sapling that had partially fallen and gotten wedged against another tree. He jumped up, grabbed onto it and proceeded to use his whole body to try and jerk it free. We spent nearly a half hour trying to interest him in smaller sticks. We eventually found a branch that was about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and nearly five feet long. I think the only reason he accepted that one was that his jaws were getting tired by then.
