In memory of other summers and other pets…once again, I am moved to tears.

Soo True! Cannot wait to get home from the Middle East to see my two labs.

tears and memories, ah to go back!

Love this one.

First thing I thought of was my wife. And no, she’s not a dog!

Precious…and a good reminder that we do have many things for which to be thankful.

Love this, but having difficult time typing with tears streaming down my face. My sweet puppy dog of 12 summers had to be euthanized yesterday. I will keep this strip and maybe one day I can look at it without the tears.

sjpb, thinking of you and your precious pet…very sorry to hear your sad news.

The clown needs to know, meteorology notwithstanding, that the summer pictured above ends when the first alarm clock goes off.

I prefer a long autumn but it is a nice thought. I wish I could spend a few summers Red’s age again!

@Brian BassetAgain, you have touched our hearts. Thank you for the joy of remembering those golden summer days of the 60’s and the love between us and our best friends. Those were great days for me and my best friends, Dickie (collie) and Duchess (german shepard) We would head out in the morning to meet other human friends and their dogs, and have long wonderful days in the creek and exploring in the canyon (Palo Duro)when we could get a ride there…so free, so unworried about predators, etc. Glory Days Indeed!
