Red and Rover by Brian Basset for October 22, 2013
Transcript:
Red: Dad, what was your favorite Halloween costume when you were my age? Charlie: Dracula. Red: Dracula was around back then? Charlie: Yes indeedy. He was around in the 15th century, and I'm sure he'll be around in the 25th century. Rover: Ooh, the 25th century like in "buck rogers"! Red: Bye bye, Dracula. Buck's ray gun is a gazillion times brighter than sunlight!

Don’t ask me how I remember this, but the TV show Buck Rogers in the 25th Century had an episode entitled “Space Vampire”.

Vlad the Impaler lived in the 15th century. The story of Dracula debuted near the end of the 19th.

Except it’s not sunlight red so all your ray gun would do is just give Dracula a tan.

Okay, obviously none of you have read the original novel or you would know that daylight does NOT destroy vampires (that was invented for the movies) it does, however, render fairly powerless.
