Whatcha watching, sickie? General Hospital. How appropriate. I think so. Is this the episode where some kid is rushed to the emergency room for getting tissue wads stuck too far up his nose?!
I see the tissue wads are now missing in panel 4. I hope he didn’t just snort them!
I’ve been to the emergency room to get a bead out of my sons ear before, (He was 3 at the time). Of course this happens while we were on vacation. On the drive from NC to TN he kept saying “daddy I have a ball in my ear” I said son you cant put a ball in your ear?!? That night before bed he kept saying I have a ball in my ear. So I took a flash light and sure enough there was a “ball/pearl” in his ear. Strange enough they have a special device at the hospital ER call the ball in my ear removal tool. It was out in less that 5 min. The doctor said it was his third procedure that week.
There is no moral to this story. Have a wonderful day and look for balls in your kids ears!
When I was 12 or so(1967, yeah, so what?) I was laid up for 3 or 4 months. No cable, no remote control back then. Mom turned the TV on to Channel 4, and there it stayed until she came home from work at 3 PM. BBC.
I remember mornings were game shows, Jeopardy was at 11. Then the soaps. I got hooked on them, because the girls were so DAMN beautiful. Deidre Hall is still my dream girl.

He’d have to be sick to be watching General Hospital while Dialing for Dollars is on.

I’d always try to get some shut-eye when the soaps came on.

I loved General Hospital, back in the good old days of Dr. Hardy and Nurse Jessie!
