neighborhood of mystery a bare tree filled with plastic bags from stores that never were. a streetlight that goes dark when approached by the living. a house that weekly disgorged a pile of trash out of all pro-portion to its size. water sewer doorway t hell street markings that hint at some-thing more dire than utility work.
Years ago on a bus route I drove, there was a street light that would go out when I went by in one of the modified Ford vans we used on lighter routes. If I happened to be driving a full-sized GM or Gillig bus, the streetlight stayed on as I passed it.One evening I drove down that street in my private vehicle, a Ford Bronco. The light went out as I passed. Something about Fords, I guess.
