We hit about 20 pubs during our last trip to Ireland and enjoyed every one. Great food was the most surprising thing.

Thompson’s research must’ve been extensive to have captured in 4 panels the wide range of Irish pubs, at home and abroad. Also the excellent marketing by Old Balrog’s Depeleted Uranium Stout.

1) If it doesn’t serve Guinness it’s not an Irish Pub.
2) A good Irish Pub should have someone Irish from Ireland behind the bar.
3) A GREAT Irish Pub will have Irish from Ireland on the OTHER side of the bar, even if they’re drinking Coors Light.

When in Ireland, one drinks Guinness. Here, at home, in Chicagoland. I drink Guinness.
But I am not an Irish Pub….
