You may notice that four of these appeared (in slightly modified form) last week in the “Important Dates for 2001” strip. As today’s final panel suggests, this page was prepared to end the “Richard’s Poor Almanac” compilation volume. Those jokes which were removed (in some cases) were probably deemed too topical and therefore wouldn’t stand the test of time.
