Elizabeth Taylor, a bargain at $1M and after 40 years of dvd sales the movie is way over the top.

“Liz” wouldn’t have made a good vasemaker, where a penny saved is a penny ‘urned’! Was it John Keats that ‘coined’ that saying? BTW, how much does a Grecian urn?

Amusing joke, but the size of the town is actually five square miles. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryville,_Missouri

Allegedly, there were plenty of disruptions during filming, Ms. Taylor culpable for some of them. The movie was a colossal box office disaster. Another of her flicks, the V.I.P’s was a loser as well. Redemption came with Virginia Wolfe.
