When he heard the March, 2011, tsunami warning, 64-year-old Susumu Sugawara of Japan took his boat out to sea and rode out 60 foot waves, and he was the only boat from the island of Oshima to remain intact! Anthony Robles, a wrestler from Arizona State University, was undefeated champion his senior year (2010-2011) with a record of 36-0 despite being born with only one leg! The element bismuth is radioactive, but it has a half-life (the time it takes half a sample to decay) more than a billion times the estimated age of the universe!
I just watched Anthony Robles on youtube and it’s no wonder he’s undefeated, having only one leg he has built up his torso and with wrestling being matched by weight class he’s got nearly twice the upper-body strength of his opponents (because he has to have that missing leg’s weight on his torso) and with the added flexibility of his leg and the challenge of having one less leg to grab at… he’s not at a disadvantage at all.. I’m not bashing him, he’s gotta’ have a lot of heart and spirit and has to have worked very hard to build himself up and do what he did.
