In 1861, a huge wave struck the top of the 200 foot tall Eagle Island lighthouse off the west coast of Ireland! Eddie Gaedel was the shortest man to play in a Major League baseball game at 3 feet, 7 inches tall, he walked when 4 consecutive pitches sailed over his head in a game on Aug. 19, 1951! Weedy and leafy sea dragons from the southern coastline of Australia have bodies that look like floating patches of seaweed.
