Fluted kidney shell choose one produce insectile looking capsules for holding their young. When fish bite the capsules, young mussels burst out and embed themselves in the fish's gills! Each year, Japan's National Defense Academy holds a tournament for the sport of Bo-Taoshi! Two teams of 75 each compete- one to defend a tall post and one to knock it down!
