Both the first nuclear powered commercial ship, the NS Savannah, and the first cross Atlantic steamship, SS Savannah, were commercial failures shortly after being commissioned- more than a century apart! More than 200 scuba divers attended the July 17, 2011, underwater wedding of Alberto Dal Lago and Karla Ysunza off the coast of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! The world's oldest surviving soccerball, found in Scotland's Stirling Castle dates back to 1540!
The later Savannah wound up in Charleston for a while, then Newport News and now Baltimore. I saw her in Charleston.
