If the human supplying the muscle gets sick just replace the employee, no need for a health plan. Apologies to Outsourced.

why would someone want to have the lense of their eye surgically removed?

Cataract removal. They implant an artificial lens. I had it done two years ago (age 33 – it’s not only older eyes that have cataracts), and yes – I can see some ultraviolet. It’s actually kinda cool!

Good grief, “9” comments and only 4 are visible at the moment. Anyhow…Some people can see infrared, for that matter. It’s been suggested that this would explain some “ghost” sightings.

It ain’t necessarily so! I had the cataract in my right eye removed, and wound up with macular degeneration (and no ultraviolet) . I am afraid to have the cataract in my left eye removed, for fear of getting macular degeneration in that eye as well..

I had a lens replacement a few years ago in my right eye. Now color shades are different from eye to eye. Black items sometimes have different shades with my right eye, but look the same with my left. I guess that’s Ultra-something.

Since my cataract surgery, the (artificial) intra-ocular lens eye sees brighter (and clearer) than the other eye does. Is the increased brightness related to ultra-violet light?
