Ripley's Believe It or Not! Cashew nuts are poisonous until roasted - the shells contain a strong acid that blister the skin. It is estimated that the ancient Egyptians created at least 70 million human mummies. During World War I (1914-1918), some British farmers enlisted circus elephants to plough fields due to a lack of horses.
70 million mummies? How was this calculated? Over what period did this happen? If 1% of Egyptians were mummified then Egypt must have had an extremely large population over the period being examined. This beggars belief and seems like the “or not” category.
