There is a town in Finland called ii. pound for pound, a human being actually generates more energy than the sun! A large oak tree can annually release 1000 bathtubs worth of water from its leaves into the atmosphere.
but all that “human” energy was originally generated by the Sun, collected via photosynthesis by plants and released by the human body via respiration.
You don’t “consume” energy. You simply convert it in to some other form.A power supply that gets hot, is said to “waste” energy, simply because it’s generating heat. The heat is energy, converted from electricity.
I believe the bit about the sun, is speaking about the total weight of the sun, and how much energy is actually “converted”. Which would be a small fraction. (since the entire sun is not generating anything, it’s just gas, burning slowly)
templo SUD,With all the love of vowels Hawaii has, I’m surprised that the Scandinavian countries and Finland took the recognition prize for no-consonant names of cities.
Probably a burr oak or white oak, although the black oak trees in my front yard ARE tall. Their branches don’t spread outward like a red oak’s down the road.
A human running 8 minute miles releases energy at a rate equivalent to about 1 horsepower. But, most of that is waste heat. A little more than 1/5 horsepower goes to moving the runner.

But the sun never sleeps.

Their concept is bogus. We do generate heat, but consume a lot of energy to do it.
