The rare pig nosed frog of India, discovered in 2003, spends 50 weeks of the year underground. The 19th century graves of Lady Van Aefferden and her husband in Roemond, Netherlands, are connected by stone hands despite lying in two different cemetery separated by a wall. The city of Milwaukee is experimenting with cheese brine- used in cheesemaking- to keep their streets from freezing in the winter.

Using cheese brine makes sense. It is basically salt water, and can’t freeze in normal winter temperatures.
