In short distance races, greyhounds are faster than thoroughbred racehorses! In 1929, Robert Ripley informed Americans that the US had no national anthem! You're so vain! For every pound of fat you gain, you grow seven miles' worth of new blood vessels.
And when Mr. Ripley told them that, it was perfectly true; “The Star-Spangled Banner” had not, up to that time, been officially designated as our national anthem by Congress. This was finally done in 1931.

“Under God” wasn’t part of the Pledge Of Allegiance until 1954. In fact, the original pledge didn’t even specify the United States.

The one about the dog and the horse is easy to believe. The horse can run faster, but needs to spend more time accelerating that large mass.
