    One word about the tooth in the foot: ouch. As for an Aussie stamp containing meteorite dust, how much does that go for? Finally, never even occurred to me that there’d be a founding mother of a city.

    For those like me who can’t remember which is which, here is a clip from Wikipedia showing the difference between a meteorite and a meteoroid. A meteorite is no longer in space…

    A meteorite is a solid piece of debris from a source such as an asteroid or a comet, which originates in outer space and survives its impact with the Earth’s surface. It is called a meteoroid before its impact.
