On the Liberty Bell, Pennsylvania is misspelled “Pensylvania.” This spelling was one of several acceptable spellings of the name at that time.

I first saw the Liberty Bell in 1998 and I don’t even recall “Pennsylvania” being misspelt thereon.

When I was a kid I thought you had to live in Pennsylvania to be able to spell it correctly!

Nobody remembers that iPhone. The naming rights cost Apple a pittance. The irony is that phone calls are its least used feature. Believe it or Nuts!

Wow, PA is misspelled on the Liberty Bell. I’ve been to see it and I don’t think there’s ever any mention of that when you go. I wonder if it shows on my small-scale Liberty Bell? I’ll have to look.

I’ve lost all respect for you, Ripley’s. Oh, not really.

Take care, may the sword be with you, and gesundheit.

My hair has already grown back, but finding a telegram office was not easy.

Pensylvania on the Liberty Bell and in our Constitution is misspelled everywhere else.

The first I Phone was two emptied Indian Corn tin cans and a string.

LibertyBelle was a lead chararcter in a (not half bad) recently concluded ensemble Netflix series: Glorious Ladies Of Wrestling / GLOW.

I know that is a “P” in the comic but it looks more like a “D”. Who ever heard of Dennsylvania?

Actually it isn’t that it is “misspelled”, but just that there was no accepted spelling of the name at the time that it was cast. The double “n” spelling was not standardized until many years later. So it isn’t “wrong,” just archaic.

Apple seems to have a history of stealing other people’s ideas, so that’s not surprising at all.
