    2025.

The rising price of cable and satellite television, coupled with the advent of digital sideband channels which greatly increase the amount of content available over-the-air for free, has resulted in many people choosing to forego their subscriptions and instead once again make do with what they can get over-the-air. This has caused a variety of antennas to become available, from unobtrusive units that can be mounted inside one’s house to larger roof-mounted jobs that, while smaller than the one in the cartoon, must still be mounted somehow and have the cable run inside.

If a person intends to go the latter route with the exterior antenna, I would recommend having it professionally installed.
