When the mockingbirds are nesting in my big elm tree, it isn’t safe in the backyard for man nor beast. They terrorize my dog and my poor cats, and will dive down and peck the back of my head.

now they’re really gonna get her. she’s not going to be able to deny being startled this time

The birds! The birds!

I once saw at least half a dozen blue jays gang up on a cat that they didn’t want around. Didn’t touch him but got him trapped in a corner of our fenced-in patio and stayed just out of range and screeched at him until I went out and shooed them away.
