Peekaboo: I may encounter a few disapproving glances...but maintaining... ...A healthy lifestyle... ...Requires consistent training.
"4:31 a.m. morning stretch."
One cat I had, Kellie, would wait until my alarm went off. Then she would jump up on the bed, crawl under the covers, and snuggle with me for about 5 minutes. She would purr and rub, but when HER time was up, she’d give my finger a gentle nip, get up, and leave the room. Kellie did this every morning.
A cat that came into my care for a while started with the idea that toes were for attacking with partially-withdrawn claws and teeth – she met with a steady leg sweep, landed on the floor, and gave one small “Oh.”, as if realizing “House rules different here.”
Our cat was not allowed in the bedroom at night. As soon as the alarm rang, though, she’d be pawing under the door to get in. (Yes, there was room under it to do that.)

I get the head bump or the pat on the back. That tells me it’s time for a pet.
