Perhaps the comic is a schematic drawing that was prepared by a Babylonian librarian to show what would happen if a night drop was to be installed. Following this illustration, the Babylonians decided not to install night drops. This illustration, in fact, is THE reason why ancient Babylonian librairies didn’t have night drops. Simple really.
