I’d be grateful if someone could tell me what started the “tastes like chicken” line. I’m sure it must have been some movie, but the last time I tried to find out, Google was no help.
I think it’s mostly intended to be reassuring. A lot of people don’t want anything that’s going to be too different from what their limited palate recognizes.
Yeah, me too. I finally assumed they mean a ‘bland’ taste. Not gamey. Don’t forgot alligator tail, turtle, tortoise…Interestingly most comparitives are reptilian.
That seems plausible, since birds evolved from reptiles.
