Do Canadians talk about moving to the US when their party loses an election?

Unlike the US, the Canadian system is a Parliamentary system (like the UK). When the Governor General of Canada feels that confidence has been lost in the coalition ruling their Parliament, a new election can be called for. So no one has to move out of Canada if they are disappointed in the results of an election; they don’t necessarily have to wait 4 years for government to change. And there are something like 19 political parties there, so they have to work in coalitions to rule. They can’t be as partisan as the system in the US.

ARGYTHREE: Not quite accurate, but it is true that we get better results (sometimes) due to having three major parties. (The other 30 to 40 parties share the scraps each election.) Rarely do we end up with a coalition, at least officially.

In the middle of winter, several refugees crossed the border into Canada. One man, who is a refugee from Ganha, lost his fingers due to frostbite. He was recently granted refugee status and is now allowed to stay. That is one way you could enter Canada.
