I will admit to being nervous about foods that are genetically modified by splicing in unrelated DNA as we may not fully understand the effects of the interaction of the DNA for many years. I’m thinking of unintended consequences from science like the drug Thalidomide that was licensed to reduce morning sickness that caused birth defects across multiple generations. However I see nothing wrong with traditional breeding and pollination techniques being used to produce higher yields and drought or pest resistant varieties of crops.

Don’t dismiss what you can’t escape. Spidurkey wants gizzards and juicy white meat.

Seriously, anti-GMF’ers are mostly ill-informed and anti-science and just plain unrealistic.
