Believe it or not, âThese Boots Are Made For Walkingâ was a big hit. I remember when record clubs advertised their selections in magazines, and the little pictures of this album were always in there, ubiquitous tiny icons..Nancy Sinatra didnât really have a good voice, often wavering, but singers in the â60s werenât necessarily required to sing like true professionals. Folk Music got us used to amateurish, unadorned renditions. Even the vocals in early Beatles songs arenât always tight. I suspect Frank also was pushing his daughter in the industry..Nancyâs career didnât last very long. Another well-known Nancy Sinatra song was âYou Only Live Twice.â
