Reminds me of a time that I got laid off and was relieved that that meant I would not have to complete some mandatory training. Before my last day they found a way to keep me on, so I wound up having to begrudgingly complete the training after all, but now with a compressed time frame.
A tad extreme but certainly works. Many years ago in a town in northern Alberta it was common for “some” to take their children to the emergency department of the local hospital Friday night, with some made up ailment, so they could party the weekend.
Wow, I’m worried. Owen has been making sense lately; so out of character. What’s next? Gary is going to start scoring with the chicks?! What is this world coming to?!

Listen to Owen, Beatrice. Your Mom needs help more than you do!
