oh, lordy, once of the oldest gags in the book - so we’re raiding your grandfather’s Vaudeville gag book, eh?

I found the same joke, surprisingly, in my grandfather’s hand-written joke book - he used it to break the ice when going in to make a sale - of course, what he sold was cloths from a barrow he pushed from town to town, the joke was in Russian and the date was 1895….
