    Oh yes, they certainly do…

No one paid for a study to determine the dead tree’s impact, or paid the fee’s to rehab the forest from such devastation — snark

Depends on whether it’s the result of the natural cycle of life, or some bastard cutting it and its fellows down in a clear-cut, or to build yet more unsightly developments

The tree probably died from the huge spikes someone nailed into it.

Isn’t tree hugging against public indecency laws?

That is because they believe mankind is the problem. They just want to get rid of about half the worlds population …not including themselves, of course.

Often “eco-freaks” desperately try to find a rare species to protect an entire ecosystem. Air pollution, toxic industrial waste, and intrusion on national forest and parks have been reduced by these freaks. Those who have complained about these freaks are those who support leaded gas, lead paint, mercury in water supplies, illegal dumping, sewage and clear cutting and mining of natural areas, including national parks. Irresponsible capitalist do not care about the conditions that they leave others. Even the unique geothermal vent ecosystems are under threat because someone wants to open mine nickel nodules.

Thank, you, I couldn’t have said it better myself. However, if a tree actually falls in the forest, i.e. dead by natural causes, any eco-freak worth their salt would see that as a fairly rich eco-system for other forest dwellers. Ironic that the stars of this strip are birds, you would think they would be the nosiest “eco-freaks” around.
