LOL As a female, I don’t understand why women get all upset over men forgetting things like that. Most (not all) women are better at remembering dates and such than men. Wouldn’t it be better if they simply and politely remind the husband when an important day is coming up? Or am I being to rational?
Used to go fishing regularly with a close friend before I was married. One Sunday in August, we pulled the boat out of our garage and off we went for the day. We had a good day, and returned with a stringer of Crappies..I walked into the kitchen and asked my “new” bride if she would mind if I cleaned the fish in the sink. She pointed to the calendar on the wall and said, “Do you know what day this is?”.I replied, “Yeah, it’s Sunday August 20!” She stood there with her hands pressed firmly against her hips and asked me if the date meant anything to me..I looked over at my fishing buddy, who was standing just outside the kitchen and then at my wife and shook my head. She then replied, “Well, one year ago today we were standing in church at our wedding!” and looked over to my buddy who was my best man..He said, somewhat sheepishly, “I think I’ll be going now” and headed out the door. I never forget this date now after nearly 44 years…

Get a big calendar and mark the date with hearts in red ink.
