The only time I played golf was when I lived in Arizona and a group of us played " Cowboy Golf " on horseback. There were several courses scattered around the state Some of the courses had real grass on the greens but most were artificial turf. The fairways were the natural desert, so there really wasn’t any difference between the fairway and the rough. Gullys and dry washes were just as tough as sand traps. You had the option of getting off of your horse to strike the ball or, if you were feeling adventurous ( and feeling the effects of the beer stashed in your saddlebags ), you could play the ball from your horse.

George Carlin claimed that watching golf is like watching flies mate. I paraphrase, his language was more descriptive.

Don’t see the purpose of chasing little white balls around a cow pasture – too many “hazzards” you have to avoid !!!! LOL
