Great movie, but if I remember correctly it was 30 days isolation until Hitlz said:

“Oh, you’ll still be here when I get out”, to which the commandant replied “Cooler”

Of course I could be wrong - it’s been a while since I’ve seen it. But that was one of my favorite scenes in the movie along with the 4th of July bit.

Also loved Stallag 17.

Emet got a real 30 days for bluffing his way through movie lines, although he calls it sabbatical.

The one call was to me. I guess I’m jumping into position on the roster as a pinch hitter.

Loved the Great Escape and Stalag 17 and Ghostbusters, but it is weird having them all in the same sentence.

I’ll agree with you there, however, Great Escape and Stalag 17 as a tandem are 2 very good P.O.W. movies that do belowng together in a sentence.

How ironic and appropriate. I am a bean counter by trade. With you posts on “In the Bleachers”, “Non Sequitur” and “BC” (where I was added), I counted 18 members, whether they have actually chosen to join or not. From what I’ve seen, a little more than half actually give the salute - unless I’m missing something on other strips.
