The driver’s lap is the very worst place for a dog to sit in the car. Any lilttle accident at all, and he’s squoshed between the driver and the steering wheel. Head out the window is not good either—-lots of potential for wind-driven stuff lodged in the eyes and ears, plus the risk of falling, jumping or being propelled out in an accident.
