Raccoons do not GET bold, they ARE bold.
And they’re quite fond of using their pointy teeth… a lot… on our drip lines. Had to replace about 30 feet of drip line this year, in 4 different places. A few years ago, we left a hose stretched over the lawn to drain and found it moved 30 or more feet. Then moved again. Then I tried to use it (it was there) to hose down something and discovered a bazillion little holes along the whole length. I think they were just playing keep away.
