Somehow, I don’t think a camera phone would match the qualities of good precision optics, newer isn’t always better

Actually, Ansel would probably be an early adopter … He loved working with a Polaroid SX-70, and saw digital coming in the early ’80s, when pre-press scanners were being developed. He was pro-technology, not old fashioned, as people now tend to think he was.

celecca, Henri Cartier-Bresson was all about the decisive moment. While the time of day Adams took many of his pictures was important for the light, I don’t think the precise moment was so critical. What made Adams famous was the Zone System for determining exposure and the dramatic pictures he took using it. Sort of tying that to the comic and keeping ajnotales comment in mind, there could be any number of decisive moments with phone cameras, but no zone system.Left a bunch out, but that’s about all that’ll fly in a comics forum.
