I’ve figured it out, between your comments and those that followed: he ate the cheese which produced the gas which he used to ignite the wood. Besides methane, there was a little oxygen mixed in the gas.

The 2nd episode of Futurama played fun with this concept.

And……….where did he get the wood? From the ship! I don’t know much about rockets (I’m not even sure the space shuttle would be the appropriate choice to go to the moon…), but I’m pretty sure that, at least currently, they’re not made out of wood………..are they???

This is neither funny nor dramatic. It’s an idea for a cartoon that should have been allowed to die on the drawing board. Don’t know what Mr. Deering is drinking in his Strange Brew, but it obviously doesn’t always provide inspiration.

Pretty bold telling us not to find it funny.

So it was, in fact, a hard first winter.

Am I missing something? I don’t understand this.

Hey, I’m just expressing my opinion like everyone else. And while I do admire and enjoy good cartooning, I have no qualms about commenting when I think someone’s work is below par.
