We have been getting political ads for our Senate race for the past 8 or 9 months. They have me hitting the Billy Mayes Memorial Button (Mute) in an instant. We actually have one ad where the candidate talks about himself and his accomplishments and why he thinks he’s qualified. I had to skip back and replay the ad. I still think it’s some sort of a trick.
In our last Governor’s race, one of the candidates also did this in the primary and won his party’s nomination. For the general election he went 100% negative. In his ads, you heard nothing but his opponent’s name and how bad he was. It got to the point that people didn’t even know he was running: it was the crook and some other guy. At least you knew the crook’s name.

The crook won.
