Let’s see that on Dinners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
I can hear Flo from Mel’s Diner: “Kiss My Grits!!”
I’m confused. I thought I was “Hon”!!!
I wuz born and raised in Noo Yawk City. When I joined the service in 1970, my first station was in southern Georgia. Part of the culture shock was getting south of the Mason-Dixon line and all the waitresses called me “Hon” or “Sugar.”
I had a similar idea as a kid, only with a supernaturally fast-flowing fluid. That goes beyond TARDIS tech.
I’ve heard of the “bottomless cup of coffee”, so I guess it stands to reason that there’s a “bottomless pot of coffee” to fill those cups from.
and the town didn’t sleep for a thousand years…
