We would if bookstores still existed.

Sadly, your Norm isn’t the norm anymore.

I was just in a bookstore last night ~ Old Town Books in Alexandria. It only opened a couple of years ago, which is definitely against the odds.

I bought a couple of books (they have book clubs and my SO and I each bought the book for the club). I took pictures of a couple of books my SO was interested in so I could send a friend who lives nearby there to clandestinely pick them up for me for holiday gifts.

One of those places where somewhere during the visit you express a soft elongated sigh. If only from the vibe.

It would really help if I could read the the store name. None within 5 km of me. Really sad.

The name of the store doesn’t bode well.

Lovely place, also Mercer Street Books at the other end of the counterbalance is well curated. Seattle is a great environment for readers, and it’s ironic that it’s also home to the enterprise that did do much to wipe out local indie bookstores around the country.
