This is all the extra CO2 created by use of fossil fuels. For 300 million years it lay nicely in solid form out of the atmosphere. Then about 300 years ago humans found it could burn and over time began using it in solid and liquid form. Putting billions of tons of it into the atmosphere. Much of it was taken in by the oceans. But not enough. Add to that the increased water vapor plus creation of other more powerful GHG’s and you have today since 1998 the general temperature of the entire Earth over each year rising and rising. Disrupting the Polar Vortex causing very cold air to leak down from the Arctic. Can make mild Winters into severe ones. Like now.
