As much as I disagree with fellow-Pennsylvanian Arlen Specter on many issues, I still have great respect for him as an honest man (at least compared to most politicians).
Just consider how openly he admitted that the only reason he switched was to get re-elected. That kind of candor is rare and refreshing.
But he is getting pretty old, and how many more bouts of chemotherapy can he bounce back from? I’ll go along with whatever you decide about your career, Arlen, but don’t kill yourself doing it.

That’s candor of the Willie Sutton variety. When asked why he robbed banks, Sutton explained to the judge, “That’s where the money is.” I suppose that “refreshing” is one word for it.
