Still not funny. The reason for Lou Pinella’s lack of tantrums is because the umpires have been giving the Cubs at least their share of the 50/50 calls. Cincinnati fans would probably say more than that after Sunday’s game.
Maybe “Sweet Lou” has figured out that throwing a hissy-fit at the umpire doesn’t help! Lou’s former American Legion teammate, Tony LaRussa, who is as competitive as anybody in the business, seldom gets ejected – he realizes it doesn’t help his team win!
Oh, and Tony’s a half-game up on Lou this morning… ;-)
