Back during 1998 (the season where Tennessee and Florida State played for the national championship), two fellows were sitting in a bar in Gainesville, arguing about which one was the bigger Florida Gators fan. One dropped his pants and displayed two tattoos–the image of Danny Wuerffel on one cheek and that of Emmitt Smith on the other.
His buddy said, “Okay, you’ve made your point–you are the bigger Gator fan. I can’t say that I recognize the fellows on the right or the left, but the one in the middle is definitely Coach Spurrier.”
It isn’t as if people don’t scream their heads off about computerized rankings, whenever the teams they like don’t get ratings high enough to suit them.

What a scientific means of determining a ranking.

Any kind of ranking is just one person’s [computer’s]opinion. It’s long past time for a national playoff system.

Well, Florida does play those “tough” out of confrence schools such as “Troy”, “Costal Carolina”, etc……….
