Leave it the way it is now: Those who want the DH have the American League, those who don’t have the National League.
I will add, however, that the idea behind the DH can also justify splitting teams into offensive and defensive units: The nine best batters do all the batting, and the nine best fielders do all the fielding (maybe some players do both, maybe not). That would likely make for a more exciting game, but it isn’t how baseball is played.
(Besides, when you have a pitcher who likes to bat and does it well – a Greg Maddux or a Madison Bumgarner – it’s special.)

Much as I dislike the DH, I’m even more worried about putting runners on second to start extra innings and having 7-inning games.

Can courtesy runners be far behind?

Those purists. Always trying to find something to complain about.

Pfft. The DH has been around for nearly half a century. “OMG what will HAPPEN NEXT?!?!?” is moronic.

Ending games after 7 innings if it’s a blow-out. Having a safe “twinbag” at 1B.

Does anyone remember the King and his Court softball team? There was a batter’s nightmare.

The current rules for ending a tie game is far an affront to the game than the DH.
