With as much as they are paid to play games they should be willing to risk their health like those that are willing to run into a burning building, those that provide care for the sick or those that run into dangerous situations, Our society is so screwed up! Athletes and entertainers do not deserve the obscene salaries they are paid!!
There is some truth to this, although the COVID restrictions aren’t about them – they’re about everyone else they come in contact with who they can pass it on to… like the training, facility and other team staff who aren’t paid millions.
There’s a lot of worry about players’ health with COVID but the teams, and especially the NFLPA, don’t want to actually do anything about the other issues. And don’t mention hockey – the NHL and small north american leagues are the ONLY ones that still allow fighting (it’s a automatic suspension everywhere else, including all the leagues they also play in Europe and EVERY international match).
CTE is out of the media eye now, pretty much. Not remotely solved, just not of much media interest. There’s a recent interview with the great Eric Dickerson recently, though. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/05/sports/football/eric-dickerson-rushing-record-cte.html

We shouldn’t have players risk their health. I just hope this pandemic will end soon. It’s driving me insane.

The Giants and the Jets should pay US to come see them.

Sooner or later this suggestion will be fact. Just as the flu can be combated by vaccines, so to with Covid. Life has to go on.
