LeBron will never, never, never, never, ever be better than Russell. Not on the court, and certainly not off the court. Russell didn’t sell out like LeBron. Same goes for the guy that wore 23.
The phrase “grandfather clause” was invented to prevent Black people from voting. When the Civil War ended, and Black people were (briefly) given the right to vote in elections, one of the ways they were denied was the clause that said if your grandfather voted, then you were also eligible to vote.
The NBA uses 0 – 55 because the referees use hands to call out to the scorer’s table who picked up the foul and anything larger than 55 gets complicated. Besides, the teams are limited to 15 players so there really is not going to be a problem with just one number.

How long before enough numbers are retired for players start using alphanumerics on their jerseys (yay or nay)?

He’ll never be the alpha 6. It’s too late for him to win 11 titles in 13 years.

Its the game off the court that really counted.

Do you know how many titles LBJ would have to win even to be considered anywhere close to the Alpha #6?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! LeBron is a traitor.

They put names on Jerseys. They don’t need numbers.
