Looks like FSU is going to try and leave the ACC but to where? The SEC will only take them (and likely Clemson and/or Miami) in to avoid allowing the Big 10 to get a foothold in this region. I could see FSU, Clemson, UNC and Miami all bolting for greener pastures followed by a second wave of UVa, Duke, NC State and perhaps Va Tech or Wake, leaving the northern ACC schools in a sub conference ala OSU and WSU in the PAC-2. Notre Dame will be implicated as well! Some schools not strong in football (such as Syracuse which got boat raced by USF 45-0 in a minor bowl tonight) could simply go Big East like UConn as well. Lets see if FSU actually tries or are just shaking down the conference for more coin.
They also deserve it for once again shafting Boise State and relegating them to the LA Bowl, where UCLA beat up on them. It’s time for a REAL playoff tournament system, folks!
It bewilders me that the games at the end of the season are weighted much heavier than at the beginning of the season. Lose a game in week 3 and you can work back towards a national championship. Lose that last game and its all over
With schools changing conferences, the transfer portal and states passing various laws about student athletes finally getting $$$ via NIL along with Congress refusing to get involved, I think the NCAA stranglehold on college sports is failing so it is now flailing around attempting to keep the massive amount of $$$$$$$$$$$ they have been stealing from the student athletes for decades

I think Georgia has a bigger gripe: from No. 1 to No. 6 and out of the playoffs for losing by 3 points to a very good team?

Coal because you couldn’t draw what they really deserve?

Considering energy prices, I will gladly take some free coal.

Coal is a great gift. It can keep you warm and be used for a variety of other purposes.

They’ve been so horrible, that they don’t even get a sack of coal.

In this economy, coal might be appreciated. Or groceries.

Wottsa big deal?
Tournament selections are based on TV ratings.

From In the Bleachers, even if it’s not relevant to today’s strip:
Why did the little boy ask to be taken to the Cowboys’ stadium during a tornado warning?
Because there’s never a touchdown there.

Jim Harbaugh could be a shoe-in for Sports jerk of the Year if Michigan manages to win the national title: yup, he had a big penalty for cheating.

the playoff selection is not deserving of such a generous gift.
