If you’re right, OCSL, then what do we think would happen if he took an axe and dismembered her? Starting with the head, of course. It would be interesting to see, but I doubt the plot is headed that way.
Immortal in most books is not the same as not killable. Immortal in most ‘sci fi’ (speaking generically enough to include pulp fiction like Tarzan) means the character would never die outside some accident or intentional killing, and in some books can include disease. Tarzan is immortal, but can be killed. (Somewhat unrelated, have you read Tarzan Alive, by PJ Farmer?)
Isn’t it wonderful that Tarzan NEVER needs a shave, or haircut whilst those around him have 5 o’clock shadow, or worse? West has just signed his and Merala’s death warrant so we all know who’s not coming out of this story alive! :)> Burn’EmAllAGowa!!
