Thanks Eldo. Love the groovin’ kitties photos and thanks 2old for the photos of the gorgeous little kitty with the Albert Schweitzer quote. Those eyes melt my heart….Get well soon Linda.
Thank you, Ruth, for your post on yesterday’s strip….and for all you do for Linda, since none of us can be there to visit…. And Linda…Just had to sneak Fenton in again (past all those cats!) to see you….
Hello dear Linda. I hope today brings you closer in your quest to get healthy again. And thank you so much Ruth, for the updates each day. What an enriched life we have with good good friends!
@2old – Awww… the little black cat with the moon absolutely melted me!
@wildcatherder from yesterday – Thanks so much for mentioning the book “Why Cats Paint.” I thought that was so cool, I put my name in at my local library for a copy of it. Can’t wait to look at it!
Good morning all of you wonderful people. I feel that I have made new friends also. I have good and bad news this morning. The bad news is I got in trouble at the ICU department last night. When I was showing Linda the pictures here and at Citizen Dog with all the artwork and good wishes, Linda started bawling her eyes out and of course her blood pressure went up and started an alarm and a nurse and Intern came in and told me I could not bring her laptop in with me again. They confiscated it until I was ready to leave, then let me pick it up at the desk. Linda said not to mind them, that they were healing tears, and she planned to do all she could to get out of ICU and into a room that has fewer restrictions. The good news is, I KNOW she is getting better, because she called what they call coffee, pig swill and had me go down to the Starbucks in the cafeteria and get her a real coffee. Nothing fancy, just black, no sugar. Now thats the Linda I know! I bet by Monday she will be in a regular room and can keep her laptop with her!She and I have a history of helping each other through difficult times, and we also have a history of making some good times happen after those difficult ones. The deaths of our respective husbands meant a trip to Hawaii, the loss of precious pets meant working with the local rescue league and fostering other animals that needed homes, the death of my son in Afghanistan meant an Alaskan cruise, the death of her grandson meant a trip to Texas to visit her family, and eat some of the best food ever prepared by human hands. If I was a southerner, I would weigh 400 lbs! There are many more instances, but you get the picture I am sure. Speaking of pictures, heres Lindas for the day. Have a terrific weekend everyone.
Thank you Ruth.Just tell Linda that we are all pulling for her.I think about her lots, and hearing that she is getting “feisty” makes me feel better.
Ruth, you are one amazing lady. To take the incredibly sad events in your life and turn them to something positive requires an enormous amount of strength. I admire you for all you’ve done.
Just adding good wishes & lots of love!!! With all the vibes from 10 cats you can’t possibly stay away much longer! We all need a friend like Ruth! By the way, thankyou Graham for every lovely 10 cats day. X
